The students after receiving training to develop their functional skill,social skill and the basic education as per their individual based training they are prepared to do some occupation to aid their future life as an independent individual.At school we run a canteen to provide them the on the job training and they do learn to sell and account for the money.

Therapies

The Early,timely and systematic therapeutical Intervention helps the children with mental retardation to develop appropriate physical and mental coordination.The Mobility and eye hand coordination helps them to develop self confidence and functional skills.Speech training facilitates receptive and expressive language development and communication skills help them in achieving socialization.There are some of the therapy we provide.

Autism Centre

Autism training Programme was initiated in 2017, due to the need of a special training to the Autism children. Special staffs are appointed to care for these children. We have 40 Autism children in school. Children are being assessed by the Psychiatrists with the Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism, and modality is planned to provide continuous training like Special education, sensory integration, speech and language therapy, occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Music therapy, play therapy, Hydro therapy, sand therapy and Behaviour Modification therapy.

EIC

At the Early Intervention and stimulation Center the children from 0 to 6 years of age, who has the delayed milestone problem are given therapeutical intervention and stimulation to make use of their Golden period of development. More than 50 parents from all over Kanyakumari District come here along with their child to get training and therapies regularly. The parents are given counseling and are also given training to train their children in turn to make a collective effort to bring the maximum development possible to prepare the child to near to normal life so as to mainstream them in the regular state board education and training.

CBR Programmes

Community Based Rehabilitation programme is carried out in 8 villages in and around Kanyakumari District.Family Based Rehabilitation(FBR) is also a part of our sevice.Our school also runs CBR center at Puthalam a rural, coastal village where there are no proper transportation available and the students could not commute independently and the community is given awareness and the mentally challenged children are provided rehabilitation training at their community itself.
